What a Sugar Quote Includes

Specification, incoterms, packaging, inspection and the factors that drive sugar prices.

· 4 min read · By GN Costa Açucareira

A professional sugar quote is a written proposal, not a single price. It states the grade and specification, the volume, packaging, incoterm and delivery point, payment terms, inspection arrangements and the validity period of the offer.

What drives the price

Sugar prices move with the international market and depend on the details of each transaction.

  • Grade and specification (ICUMSA 45 vs VHP, for example)
  • Volume and shipment frequency
  • Packaging: bags, big bags or bulk
  • Incoterm (such as FOB or CIF) and destination
  • Timing and market conditions

Why GN Costa does not publish prices

Because every factor above changes the result, GN Costa prepares each quote manually and confirms it in writing. This avoids misleading list prices and protects both buyer and seller.
